Great shot, love the colours in the vegetation above the cliff, mind you the whole lot looks like very steep terrain
idleye: Yep, not bad for standing at the back of a motor launch (the salubrious one) jostling with the fishermen and their rods. So it is part of a steep island rising out of the sea off the seaside town of Whangamata.
When the pohutukawa flowers it is said to indicate an extended summer and its also sometimes called the NZ Christmas tree - probably cos it generally flowers around that time of year (if it flowers).
