At Lyndoch in the Barossa (SA) yesterday. Fortunately a controlled burn-off - but seeing the swathes of smoke rising from behind a hill was enough to make us shiver.

I worked for 10 years at the Gawler health service in the 1990 look very dry there

I bet you have a few stories to tell then about that decade. For myself I just go to the Barossa to eat and drink
Yep, very dry but - hallelujah - we have just had a bit of sprinkling of rain over the last day and a half, about enough to wash the dust off the leaves but not enough to soak the roots. Oh well at least its something - and now the sun's back out great weather for BBQs!
